Members stlskyline Posted January 14, 2020 Members Posted January 14, 2020 I will be staying near Rim Shoal Access in March and don’t have much knowledge on places to wade fish. I’ve been able to find all the access points, but have yet to find more than general information. Depending on water levels is it a good place to fly fish or would you focus on another area if given a day? Thank you in advance.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 If they are generating you need a boat.
sfiser Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 it is a good fly fishing spot at low flows (which there is NO guarantee you will get with as much rain as we have gotten). If there is no water running, round house shoal in cotter is another good place to try and also Ackerman access over at Norfork has access to some of the best wading water in Arkansas. BUT like said above, if they are running water you will need a boat and even better a boat with a fly guide in it.

Ham Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Gary Flippin at Rim Shoals Resort Knows that portion of the river VERY well. He offers a river taxi service. He could suggest areas to wade and get you there and back again quickly and inexpensively. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
