I use to really Love Tent Camping. Have been trying to talk my wife into Tent Camping several places this Summer.

If it is brought up she says we are too old lets get a room. Thing with Room most places we can't have our Dogs and I'm scared to death of Bed Bugs.

Then she comes up that we have a Cabin by Truman Lake, she says we can go there for several days, have fun and comforts of Home.

It was brought up in front of my Mother in Law about us traveling. Mother in Law lives basically with us. She hears this according to her we have no business traveling. LOL

I bought a nice big cabin tent and nice air mattresses last summer.  Big enough to stand up in, good airflow.  Spring the extra for Electric site and plug in a good fan for air.  Time the trip for a nice weekend with cooler nights.  Camp on ridge away from bugs.  Build a nice fire and all should be well.  Makes them forget about the room.

But if its going to be in the 80's at nite and the campground is in the bottom ground with no air movement, better find a room somewhere.  She will sour up at ya.

Camping is great...Sometimes...Hotels suck...Most cabins are bare bones...We like our 32'  Bunk House Travel Trailer. A/C or Heat anytime we want it. Great to travel with a rat pack of kids...and the gals have shower and a throne to sit on. It was expensive, and it is allot more work than camping. Trailers need routine maintenance, and tires every couple years.

Our Cabin is cool. Have everything and it is paid for. As matter fact we have considered moving there.

I have a problem with Camp Trailers. I'm not real safe and my wife don't like pulling one.

I should add I use to drive OTR but anymore on long trips I can't stay awake and Traffic makes me nervous. Yes I have drove in NYC and LA.

I like camping in fall.  Best sleep ever is crisp fall night in a tent.

For a year we lived in a Tent. I liked it Rain and Snow.

If it was Raining so be it just another day.
