Not too wild about the rigging (mounting washers hanging over the transom line), and a bit more porposing than I would expect. Maybe a heavy trolling motor will smooth that out.

@fishinwrench I agree with you on the mounting bolts. The G2's have to be mounted up higher than the G1's and I think they are going to require some transom tweaking to make it look good. I really think they transom is going to need to be built up a few more inches. The porpoising was probably just due to not being trimmed out quite a right. My boat with a 150 will get that way if I get it trimmed up a little too much. Guys that race these things seem to think a little porpoising gives them the best top speed. That might be true, but I can't stand riding around like that.

The quietest OBJ I've heard was a 90hp Suzuki 4 stroke. I knew their prop jobs were super quiet, but was surprised at how quiet they were when jetted.

G2 should auto trim at the best bite angle.  Not sure how the software can determine that with a jet pump (probably can't).  

Any jet pump equipped outboard is gonna bark considerably more than a propped lower.  Open exhaust.

I have a 25hp Merc jet on a 17' Blazer and that is plenty fast for me.

My favorite take away on fast boats is when I was fishing in a redfish tournament in South Texas and a guy had a 300hp on an SCB 20 foot cat hull flats boat. He said it would do close to 90 mph. 

Then he said "I don't know where we are going but I want to be the first one there."

90mph in a 20' cat hull is begging to take to the air and flip.   You won't get anywhere first, except the hospital.....if you're lucky.
