Quillback Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 Looks like they are running water, my guess is they are going to try and take it down to 1120.
Lance34 Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 That’s typical... About the time fish start looking for a prom date... SMH I understand though it’s purpose... It’s a flood control lake...
Bassmeister Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 Looks like they took out 1/2 foot yesterday. Prob why the fish weren’t on the bank.... They need to do it though. A few heavy spring rains and the lake will be in bad shape. Lance34 1
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 8, 2020 Root Admin Posted March 8, 2020 The start correlated with Bull Shoals hitting the 660 foot mark the other day. They backed off the flow at BS Dam and at the same time started running at Beaver. They also bumped up Table Rock Dam's flow from 2 to 3 units. Then there's this... hopefully they're wrong. This is 7 days of rain, not one big rain. That will help.
Devan S. Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 Glad its seven days of rain and not one big one then back dry. At the farm in Eagle Rock, its awfully dusty. The sub soil has moisture but the top couple inches is dry(sun, wind, and warm temperatures dry it out fast). Not to mention wont be long with these temperatures and the grass will start soaking it up. Phil Lilley 1
mojorig Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 They have until April 15th to get out as much water as they can. After that, it gets a lot harder to release. Jeremy Risley District Fisheries Supervisor AGFC Mountain Home Office - 1-877-425-7577 Email: Jeremy.Risley@agfc.ar.gov

Devan S. Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Isn't that when the regulating stage at Newport goes down?
sfiser Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 the corps forecasted schedule online says they are trying to get it back to normal pool by 3/20. Its said that for the last few weeks so I was wondering when the water dump was coming and I guess they decided to start over the weekend.
