I’ve had a few trips in the past week or so and just haven’t had time to post them here.  I’ve been long line trolling lately.  6-8 rods, 6 pound test.  1/16 and a few 1/8 jigs.  Haven’t slayed them but I’ve been catching enough for dinner over 12-15 fow.  Some even deeper.  I’ve learned a lot from folks on this forum and others.  Just trying to share the knowledge in case it helps others.  I’m definitely still learning.

Yeah the striper gave him fits on a 14 ft rod and 6lb test!

I went last week and we were getting bit in 2.5ft of water. I’m new to the crappie fishing but with no bass tournaments I’m enjoying trying to catch a different species.

Tried again today.  Water temp up to 62.  Not sure if the big ladies went shallow or what but I only landed 3 keepers today.  Caught several small fish and males but the big ladies weren’t there today.  Fishing flats and creek Channel in about 12-15 fow.  I talked to a lot of the folks fishing shallow and they didn’t seem to be having much luck either.  Guess I just wasn’t where they were today.

Tried a new spot for awhile before coming home.  Saw lots of fish on the sonar so I thought “oh man, this will be good”.  Within minutes I was hooked up on two large whites.  Gave it up and came home.  If I had time I might have played with the whites a while but I was pushing my luck with the kitchen pass as it was.
