Well I’m pretty bad but worst might be an exaggeration I didn’t really fish growing up because neither parent knew how really. So fishing has been more of an adult pursuit and have been learning as I go. I make the joke because my wife always out fishes me no matter where we are.

Closest I could find to Arkansas fisherman who I could siphon knowledge from, not many live out here and I own the only carp rod in the area.

Yeah I’ve gotten some pointers but bass, brim, cats and crappie are the main quarries and catch carp on accident.

Just yankin your chain.  Try the corn in the gunny sack deal.  Usually works pretty good.  At least up here in the real Ozarks.😎

Ask the old guys specifically about the catfish holes and the catfish in the river, they seem to like the same water. All the carp I ever caught were on trotline and catfish bait.
