Members Randy Moore Posted June 29, 2020 Members Posted June 29, 2020 Attached are a couple of pics of a 6.0 lb Walleye my wife caught near point 9 on Friday evening about 8:00 pm. It was fairly windy that evening. The walleye nailed a small night crawler with no hesitation and took the bait deep under the boat. My wife was using my Lew's medium light rod with a spinning reel and 8 lb test line. We got the fish into the net on the first attempt, took pics, weighed the fish and returned it to the water. Best guess on length is between 28 and 30 inches. It was the highlight of an interesting week of fishing. Report by Randy Moore m&m, Quillback, SupremeJCK and 12 others 15
Bill Babler Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Great report Randy, magnificent fish. You get any thinner and you'll blow out of that boat. Keep us informed on your fishing. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Smithvillesteve Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Great eye Randy!! And kudos to you for releasing that fish. Walleye is extremely tasty but i just cant bring myself to put a knife through a 28 inch fish!! Makes me even more disappointed we didnt get to go to Canada this year with the border closed. Got a fly in trip in sept. Mostly smallmouth trip but will have a couple of fish fry with walleyes. Hopefully we get to go! vernon and rwwende 2
