Hello,   I would like to get opinions on scented soft plastics for bass    I  use Berkeley Havoc creature bait regularly and feel that it gives me a big advantage over non scented and I am wondering  if other anglers  feel the same

It definitely doesn't hurt. I think it helps at times, but often it is not necessary.

As an aside, I WILL NOT ever use Kick N Bass again. That stuff smells so BAD that I don't care if it helps me catch additional fish ; its NOT worth it to have to smell that stuff.

My home made plastics smell like cooked plastisol.  The fish never have seemed to mind.

Buddy of mine used garlic scent quite a bit, he caught more catfish than I did, but I could hold my own as far as bass with my unscented baits.  Every once in a while I'll try some scents out, it just never seems to make a difference.  I want them to work, sure would be nice to find the magic scent that calls bass in from all over the lake.

I believe it will get you a few more bites during the day, especially when conditions are tough. Salt works too...it makes the fish hold on a little longer but decreases the longevity of the bait.
