Maverickpro201 Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 2004 TR 19, In need of a Bow panel. Been looking but have not found one. The existing one that my friend has is crushed where his trolling motor has smashed it. Due to the guy who owned it before him not installing the trolling motor correctly. We are installing a new Ghost and would like to replace the panel. Any help appreciated. Thanks,
Basfis Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Finding a factory plastic part might be possible with time on eBay. another option is to call Mark at Polyfab plastics in Springfield. They can recommend a plastic and router the shape for you.
Dutch Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 You might also check Precision Sonar and see what they might have. You might get some info on the Triton forum at www.bbcboards.net.
Maverickpro201 Posted December 22, 2020 Author Posted December 22, 2020 Did that Dutch. Basfis I will also contact Polyfab. Thanks
fishinwrench Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Good luck, but finding factory switch panels for boats older than 6-7 years old is hard (impossible?) I don't even try. Here at Sims Marine I fabricate them from the heavy nylon cutting boards in the cooking aisle at department stores. After you have it cut to shape and the holes drilled, you can paint it or cover it with woodgrain vinyl if you want. Seems to be the best material for the job. It's what the manufacturer SHOULD have used.
Members Mr. Smallfish Posted December 22, 2020 Members Posted December 22, 2020 Made mine from 1/4" thick black Sintra plastic that I cut out on the bandsaw and sanded the edges.
Maverickpro201 Posted December 22, 2020 Author Posted December 22, 2020 What it actually is, is the shroud, outer edge that screws to the bow. I may have found one but will not know till after holidays. And by the way wish you all a Merry Christmas. Thanks
