Any new Crane Creek reports?

Duck season kept me busy (not to mention work) so I haven't been to Crane Creek recently. In this lull between duck season and turkey season my mind has turned back to fishing and I find myself missing this little stream. I'd love to hear some stories if anyone has been lately.

Haven't been lately but the stream is in good shape.should start sewing bwo and little stone flies like crazy anytime now if not already. The level is solid and if we geta bit of rain it will be dynamite . this time of year is magic down there. Especially with overcast conditions following a light rain

I crossed it at Grissom’s Ford today.  It looked good.

I’m light on flies right now but I picked up a few things from the fly shop and hope to do some tying this weekend. If I can get a few tied up I’m going to head down there one day next week and try my luck.

I've done well with copper johns.

I did well with pink and orange frenchies last fall. I have yet to catch a Crane Creek trout on a wooly bugger but that doesn't stop me from throwing them lol.

Red brassies in size 16 worked well for us in the beginning last year as well but they stopped producing over the summer.

That is insane....buggers are like the Holy grale for crane creek trout. I have caught so many fish on them down there that i jave had to change bugger because they destroyed it. Same with elk hair caddis . pm me and I'll feed you a few spots to try .

Mohair leach/bugger rod always rigged & ready. Pat’s Rubberlegs is as good or better. You fish em dead drift like a nymph, not a streamer. Those wild fish love to eat crawfish, and they are very abundant in all the wild trout creeks. Active all year long in those spots, not so on streams with few springs.
