Houses I Knew Are Going

Just heard their going to tear down my Uncles house. I remember help building it in 1967.

Dang not a house I lived in my youth is gone.

Schools are gone. Places I worked gone.

My Grandparents house is boarded up. I remember fixing it up for them.

Here seems to be Trailers. Had one down the road Burt, kid was cooking. His Aunt stole my Pain Medication one time.

Just got News that couple buildings across from where I had an apartment burnt.

The guy that had the apartments had Blacks working for him but wouldn’t rent to them.

He fired a Black Man one time for looking at a White Woman.

I looked at the address from when I lived in CT in high school and the old house was replaced by a mansion. In that town there was a 2 acre lot ordinance. Pretty sure they got a sweet deal on that property for a smallish house for the lot

I suspected that one of our old farm houses was being used that way so I burned it.

The house I grew up in - and lots of formerly very nice homes in the town - have now turned into neglected POS properties.  Hard to see and accept but it is real.
