Ham Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 Fished from 0830 until 1900 in the mid lake area. Main lake had beautiful 58 degree water. As is typical , water got warmer and picked up a little more more stain as you went back up the creeks. it was my first trip on Bull this year (I should be ashamed) and it took a little bit to get some bites. We could getĀ bit on transition banks on S L O W moved grubs and finesse Shakey heads. water was actually very clear in the back of creeks from super clear rain run off. I felt like we did better in the middle third of a creek. when we had clouds and a decent ripple on the water, Ā Spinnerbaits and bladed jigs would get bit. WhenĀ it got calm and sunny,Ā that bite died. sunny skies putĀ fish tighter to brush and you could flip a few out. I had a terrible hook up ratio, but I did have a decent number of bites. late in the day we even got a few fluke bites, but those Bass were smaller though. Late in the day we saw water temps as high as 63. We had good numbers of fish and a really good percentage were keepers. Zero Smallies were caught. I did lodge an official complaintĀ with AGFC about the lack of SMB in Bull Shoals.Ā Fish24/7, FishnDave, nomolites and 1 other 4 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future.
