OK we moved down here to Kirbyville 18 months ago and we're hoping to get the walleye figured out on Bull Shoals. Due to the accessibility of courtesy docks or lack thereof that hasn't worked out. Fished some last fall up at Stockton, nice lake, 2+hour drive and wind is definitely a factor. I am wanting to try the James River arm of Table Rock and possibly the Kings River arm. Just looking for a little direction for where to start such as which public boat ramp with dock to put in at and maybe a general area to start. I am willing to put in the time to try and figure it out but I thought maybe I could get some tips to where to start at. Thanks in advance.

This rain may really mess up the Kings river arm, that arm will fill up with floating wood and it is very difficult to get through.  Otherwise the Viola ramp is a good one to use on the Kings and it has a courtesy dock.

You could also go a bit further on 86 to Eagle Rock to access the upper White, courtesy dock there too.

If I lived in Kirbyville and wanted to catch walleye, I'd be driving east instead of west.  And not very far east either.😎

I loved fishing walleye on Table Rock. I wish I still lived there.

However, if I lived where you do, I would hire Bill Babler or Buster Loving to guide you in the K Dock area. While in the boat, pick their brains, not only on places to fish, but also on where, when, and what water levels you can or should put in. A few hundred dollars will save you years in learning local knowledge.

Thanks for the advice but that being said those are exactly the reasons we centered our home search in Taney not Stone County. I would love to figure out the Bull but first have to figure out how a couple old people get the Alumacraft and the two of us, in and out of the water. The reason for the post was to get some ideas so we could get the boat on the water and out of the garage. Mr. Babler or Mr. Loving can expect a phone call in the near future.

You could always head a little south and put in at Tucker Hollow.  The ramps at Beaver, and Shadow Rock have been useable lately too.  I was just there last Sunday and we put in at Beaver.  We had a tough day, but had no issues with access.
