Quillback Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 Must be the long range version. Woman was scraping it off with a knife. But who the heck expects to find a Japanese mortar shell when digging in their garden? Missouri couple discovers live World War II era Japanese bomb in their yard (nbcnews.com)

But still thinking of someone carrying it on a Ship, Bus and then letting it get out of sight. Someone was either dumb or had one heck of a set. oneshot

I have found cases and one whole shell while out hunting that area back in the 90's. I know that they closed it off in the 20's to try and clear that area. It still may be closed if they found it easier to just keep people out instead of sweeping out the oridinace. Quillback 1
