Members whiteley.matt Posted June 25, 2021 Members Posted June 25, 2021 Are there any places close to the lake around the dam/Lost Bridge area to get minnows? I will be down next week and was going to try night fishing with some lights to see if I could find some crappie or white bass.
Devan S. Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 I think the Dam store had a tank of minnows last time I stopped in. Quillback 1
Quillback Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 I can't think of anyplace around there but the dam store. Lost bridge marina has a small store, never been in there, I doubt they have minnows but it may be worth a call to see if they have them.
Devan S. Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Might check shortstop in Garfield.its a longshot but you never know.
Lance34 Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Never used him before but there’s a guy in between Avoca and Garfield called Saltwater Johnny’s Just search FB or Google contact info. whiteley.matt 1

Members odemizzou Posted July 14, 2021 Members Posted July 14, 2021 As mentioned, Riverview resort has them. They're a little further down the road from the Dam Store (take 187 north to 62, then it's like a half mile west, right on the river). When I first got my place in the area, my retired neighbor who has lived there for years told me to always go to Riverview instead of the Dam Store because they were a lot more hardy and would last longer. I've tried both, and he's been completely right. The only caveat is that Riverview changed owners a couple of years back, and I actually haven't picked up any minnows in that time, so I'm not totally sure the quality control has kept up.

Last minnows I picked up from there it was first week of July I had three dozen minnows in my Engel bait cooler last 3 days and could’ve lasted longer . I was impressed.
