Big Walleye James 7/24/21

My buddy caught this yesterday and gave me permission to post.  Caught on a float from Delaware to Shelvin Rock.  I netted it for him (barely), which was a story in itself.  We estimated 10 lbs and he let it go.

Nice eye.  It has been several years since I have caught a Table Rock walleye.

Great fish! In Table Rock context, that is a top 1% fish.

That fish was no where near Table Rock. 

I saw one bigger than that a couple months ago in the James.

Well this was last summer but anyways what are big walleye doing in shallow water in July, makes no sense to me

I just figured it’s where they live. I’ve met some guys that spend a lot of time chasing them up closer to Springfield.
