bobby b. Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 Fished for a couple hours this morning 7 - 9 am - launched at Mill Creek - about 6 rigs there when I arrived. Caught 6 keepers - no shorts - but keepers just barely - one SM the rest were Spots. WT 84 deg - fished two gravel points with 5 of the 6 coming from one spot- fish were in about 25 fow near the bottom. Although I marked lots of fish directly under the boat, the one that bit came quickly at the bait from a distance - love that Live Scope. Bobby big c, Quillback, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 4
Quillback Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 Thanks for the report. Are you using crawlers? Thinking about fishing them myself, would like to get some gills once this heat wave vamooses.
bobby b. Posted August 25, 2021 Author Posted August 25, 2021 Football jig and crawlers - I did catch a big bluegill on a crawler today which is the clue to leave - funny, as I was reeling up to leave I saw (on the Live Scope) about 25 gills appear out of nowhere and follow the remaining piece of crawler up toward the surface.
