Was blessed to get drawed and qualify thru the Bull Shoals event weighed 13.83.  Best part is I’m fishing with my 13year old son. Memories of a lifetime! We won the family division side and finished 17th!  Friday morning 2hour fog delay, haven’t fished the rock since the Ultimate Challenge tournament.  Fish are deep, didn’t fish deep at all! Got tricked, caught keepers early chasing wind and shade lines fishing crawlers and blades but only managed 3 in  2 days!  Made the first cut with a 3.5lber.  Finished with 7.5 lbs for 2 days.  It’s going to be won deep using live scope.  If there was anyone having success shallow they must have been up the James.  I fished from the dam to mouth of kings river.  It was a professional first class ran tournament.

Thanks for the update. Several of the guys are chasing the deep fish and I was surprised how most were on the high percentage areas. The deep fish (and shad) are moving around fairly quick so that is a challenge. I think an a-rig and spoon combination (on the same fish) will probably work for some guys. Sometimes the fish around the boat can be too high for a spoon and postured just right for an a-rig. The slightly cooler water temps up the rivers might play a role for more bites and quality.

Sprint, you are da man. And so is your son. But where are you guys' jerseys? I mean, the Green Forest Bass Club "semi-jersey" is very cool, but didn't your entry package include Johnny Jerseys with all of the JohnnyCraft boat company logos and more?

Oh wait! YOU GUYS were out there to actually FISH instead of strut around like the yay-hoos  in fake jerseys, seemingly oblivious to the fact that their weigh-in bag is, for the most part, empty. But, of course, they still have to bee-bop across the stage with their one 15-inch line burner for 1.65 pounds --- slowing down the weigh-in.

Love that you included your boy in this event. Kudos for winning the family division. Well deserved.
