Gavin Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Very low & clear, fishing slow. Lots of people at Montauk. Fished the blue ribbon a couple mornings and had fun but nothing noteworthy. Went for an afternoon hike with the fam and did some fishing in the White Ribbon. Caught some trout for dinner, several smallmouth, and a rare largemouth bass. Only a 11” LMB but it’s a rare catch for that area. I’ve only caught 2 other LMB’s between Montauk and Akers in the last 30 years. All bass were released. nomolites, BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3 and 2 others 5
Gene K Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Hey Gavin, all good with you I hope? The LMB's are generally those that wash over the spillway at my neighbor's pond which runs into Shaffer creek.
jdmidwest Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 I used to catch a few chunky largemouths in the long deep pool behind the lodge at the park below the last holding tank runout. Goofy football shaped bass, short and fat. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
