Members Jim-to-fish Posted February 20, 2022 Members Posted February 20, 2022 I'd like to come and fish tail waters below Powersite. Wanted to see best time to catch Walleye, Crappie, or just about anything you can catch below dam when you cast out. Also wanted a place on Taneycoma to stay in area for access with easy drive down there. I appreciate it, I've been down there a few times, but would like to catch it right when good sport fish can be caught!
Dutch Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 You might stay at Lilly’s Landing. He owns and operates this site. Most of the good fishing that I have ever heard about is after midnight from the bank.
rps Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Stay at Phil Lilley's. See if you can book Buster Loving or Phil Stone. If they are already booked, ask Phil who you should use. Johnsfolly 1
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Another for Lilley's Landing. It is right on Taneycomo, has every thing needed for local fish, and real time updates. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
Members Jim-to-fish Posted February 21, 2022 Author Members Posted February 21, 2022 I've stayed at Lilly's Landing many times, but then I'm fishing for trout, but I'm interested in the Walleye below Powersite and where to stay at that end of the lake. I normally stay at Lilly's in December, fish with family, then go up to strip for xmas shopping, but I have also many years ago fished below Powersite for some nice fish also. Thanks for reply!
MoCarp Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Normally the walleye are done by March, mid to lateJanuary to 1st moon phase in February…..you can get stragglers… sometimes high water makes that area unfishable…..power site is a fickle place…can be great when timing is right…all it takes is a aluminum boat banging about to shut fishing down Jim-to-fish 1 MONKEYS? what monkeys?
