Maverickpro201 Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 Ran into a guy today he said Missouri Conservation had posted that the Shawnee Bend ramp along with Coffman and several others, Were short and to be careful, could drop off and damage trailers or boats. He showed me the article but I could not read it because I did not have my reading glasses with me. Anyone know about this or heard anything about it?
fishinwrench Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 The lake is currently at 655.+ so there's no problem at any of the main ramps that I'm aware of. Most begin to get sketchy when the lake is 654.5 or below. It's always a good idea to keep the motor trimmed up a bit just in case there's a prop wash pile at the end of the ramp. grizwilson and Terrierman 2
Bushbeater Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 In the past at low levels it was best not to use the left side. Your left while backing down.
Maverickpro201 Posted March 23, 2022 Author Posted March 23, 2022 Ya I remember last year you had to stay to the right backing down.
fishinwrench Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 Why would you choose the ramp furthest away from the courtesy dock anyway ? 🤔
