We have currently fished 10 states.  But mostly around the midwest.  We need to get out of the MN area, but fishing can be so intense and fun... depending on season and the bite.

I don't know much about that lake since I have never fished it before. Seems from reports that there are decent chances at walleye, bass, crappie, etc. Hope that you do well and post a report or two. We do like photos 😁.

I saw that you want to catch a fish in every state. How many states have you caught a fish?

I'm up to 29 states and hoping to get at least three more this year, VT, NH, and ME. That will finish out the eastern seaboard states for me. Then I need to focus on the upper midwest states, e.g., WI, MN, ND, SD, MI, etc. and the western states.

Depending on when you get midwest and where you go, get in touch with me.  I can share ideas, locations, and such.

There are places to avoid and places to stay with the wind on Stockon, use the terrain to your advantage. Just generally speaking, the main lake and most of the big sac arm is awful in a strong south wind. The little sac arm is more sheltered, aside from west winds.

The dam will block a north wind pretty well, but it can still get some rollers going the further south you go.

Arrived last night.  Got on the Lake this morning.  Taking our time learning it.  What an amazing body of water!  We don't always get clean, clear lakes like this in MN.

Hoping to add fish pics later.  Gotta find them first.

Well, unfortunately I don't have any pics of fish.  What I will say is that Stockton area and the Ozarks are absolutely awesome!  We will be coming back again.  Hopefully next time the wind won't be blowing us all over.

While we may not have caught fish, we were able to be on the boat and in nice weather.  Sadly, on the way back to MN and had to drive through snow on Thursday, and yesterday we received about 3 inches of that white stuff again!

Thanks for all your suggestions!

The lake has a pretty good sailboat population.  The way it sits, it is very conductive to winds coming down the pipe.

So sorry you didn't have a very good trip top Stockton. I'm never going to claim to be any kind of guide but if you make it back down this way I know I can get you into the bass population. I have no idea on the walleye but I can get a smallmouth on the end of your line for sure.
