Thanks for the info boys. Really appreciate it. Not sure where we are launching Quill. I'll be meeting my son in law there. He lives in Dallas. Grand lake is about exactly half way for the both of us. He's a working man still so it is a weekend deal. Fri, sat, sun. Sounds like it will be crowded. Sounds to me like, according to you boys, find clean water and power fish relatively shallow. Once again i sincerely appreciate all your info.

You should have gone to Texas and fished Fork!

North side pockets from Duck Creek to dam are good this time of year.

Watching some live coverage, couple of 3+ just landed on jerk baits.  They are using the FFS/jerk bait combo.  Watching Jordan Lee work a Stunna, just giving it a couple twitches, pause maybe 2 seconds, twitch, repeat.  He caught one of the 3+ doing that.

Vinson just caught a 2.1 spot fishing a JB around docks.

Steve, you might want to bring a few JB's with you.  😃

Watching some live coverage today, Andy Montgomery just boated a couple of 4+ bass throwing a spinner bait around shallow willows with the wind blowing into them.  Edwin Evers had 4 for 16+ doing the jerk bait/FFS thing.  They aren't getting a lot of numbers, but catching some good fish.

Bobby Lane pulled it off fishing a jig.  He pulled out a 6lb. 3 oz. fish out of a boat dock that had him on the wrong side of a cable.  I didn't watch it all day, but jigs, jerk baits, cranks and spinner baits were all catching fish.  Good average size to boot, it wasn't a numbers game.  You should have some good fishing Steve.
