Couple of pike and no more goldfish…seems everything I’ve read they are an issue in small waters with few fish….there is a similar problem out west with bass getting in waters

I've seen goldfish bigger than that in James River.

            Actual goldfish or Koi?

One spot I know definitely needs some predators.  If I only knew where to catch some native Blue Cats, Bowfin, Flatheads, or Alligator Gar for a relocation project.... 😬

Or Snakeheads or Arapaima, if anyone has any to donate? 😅

It looked like a regular goldfish, in coloration and body shape.  Fishing a bluff end and saw something in the water just under the surface, eased up to see what it was, goldfish very round, way bigger than a softball looked almost volleyball size.

Thank you for reply. I have yet to spot a goldfish yet but rogue Koi are showing up. About ten years ago or more a neighbor caught a big Koi at caplinger mills. Kept it and had it mounted. Hidious mount. Not a good job. He is passed now and when he needed help I would do the right thing and help him. I cringed each time l looked at that fish.

I feel like your neighbor would have wanted YOU to have that hideous Koi mount. 😁
