Not sure on bead head size/weight.  If you plan to use a bead, I'd recommend a stout 90-degree jig hook to keep this somewhat horizontal in the water, and hook-point up.

Something comparable to these... I like to tie these on the 1/48th oz Wapsi Super Jig Head.  Has a better quality hook than some others.  I've caught them on 1/80th oz and heavier, but the 1/48th, about 18" beneath the indicator, seems magic.  In the summertime, during and after the mulberries dropping into the water, and all the way until about mid October or so....When that microjig and indicator hit the water, the grassies usually turn and swim over to investigate, and eat whatever landed in the water.

Yesterday there were a couple of schools of grassies moving around in the outlet of Windsor lake here in Bella Vista.  Watched them for a bit, they'd line up in a column about 3 fish wide with a couple of dozen in the school.  Biggest ones were in front, little guys bringing up the rear, it's like they ranked themselves by size.  I was tossing a crankbait around from the bank and I was very tempted to snag one.

                          Tell you one thing they will track down a smallish wooly bugger or nymph. That is how I catch mine. Sight fishing and stealthy casts!

I always had success on a gold bead head, yellow chenille body, red marabou tail.  Worked on bluegill too.

But I never caught one bigger that about 3-4 lbs on a 5 wt
