Your trip and those microtrout.may be a big push to get out there. Thanks for adding your photos helps get a feel for where you were and your successes! My only guess without trying to dig would be a pikeminnow just because it looks somewhat predatory. Let us know. I believe a Colorado Pikeminnow.. Can get very big. They make all sorts of grunting noise when you pull them out and unhook them. The local we spoke with didn't seem overly excited about them compared to the trout. Johnsfolly 1

Al Agnew Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 Great account! But you missed what may have been an opportunity to add redeye bass to your life list. Arizona, specifically the Verde River and tributaries, holds pure redeye bass (yes, the kind of bass that are native only to the Coosa river system in Alabama and Georgia.) Nobody is sure just who stocked them in AZ. Quillback 1
Members Prifish Posted May 26, 2022 Members Posted May 26, 2022 Nailed the summary. Utah next? Rio Cutt, Apache, and Gilla were my highlights. Devan S., BilletHead and JestersHK 3
