Members kz1983 Posted July 17, 2022 Members Posted July 17, 2022 Hi All, I was planning a trip to Lake Taneycomo for next weekend and had questions about water levels. Even though I have been to the down there many times I never took my boat out. I have a 20' Deep V Tracker Targa and I was hoping to launch at the Copper Creek boat launch and go up the river to fall creek marina and drift down and repeat. With the water levels being so low is that still doable? I know it's kind of hard to guess when the generators will be running opr maybe there is aa way to find out. Thanks KZ dpitt 1
Members Tom C Posted July 17, 2022 Members Posted July 17, 2022 You will be fine from Fall Creek down even if water is off. Generation site: https://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/pages/data/tabular/htm/tabrock.htm Above Fall Creek read this thread: dpitt 1

It was only 17 mgw's today and you could get to Fall Creek easy. dpitt 1
Members kz1983 Posted July 20, 2022 Author Members Posted July 20, 2022 Thank you all... I heard that I need to be on the right side as I pass short creek. What obstacles lay on the left side passing short creek?

You better know exactly where you’re going above fall creek on a 20 mgw or less with a prop boat. Even one full unit can be sketchy up there. Tom C 1

What obstacles lay on the left side passing short creek? There are some logs at the mouth and it shallows up. With the crowds nowadays you're going to be idling through that area anyway. snagged in outlet 3 1 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
fshndoug Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 Hard to tell someone how to navigate a waterway when they don't know it. snagged in outlet 3 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 If you hang around long enough above fall creek you’ll hear where the shallow spots are sooner than later 😂 JestersHK and fshndoug 2
