Two days ago I went fishing and caught a couple of yellow perch on some flies on the little north fork, close to bull shoals. They were swimming around some bluegill schools along the river. I asked a guy I know whose fished here since the 70s, he said the MDC stocked them as an experiment in the 90s but I don’t know how true that is, I couldn’t find any info about it online. Do any of you guys know about it?

There have been pockets of them in Bull Shoals for decades.  I’ve caught several just below the mouth of Cedar Creek where the channel swings into the bank.

From what I know there are reproducing populations in Bull Shoals and likely as well in the white river (photo of one of a few caught in the white back in 2019).
