I've seen a tree twisted to right before breaking off  and nearby one twisted to the left, while others were just bent over straight and the woods surrounding the area looking like a gentle rain had passed. Weird stuff.

Really strange killed people over at Tunas split went around us,regrouped and killed a guy by Camdenton.

No, the night I got hit they were popping up from Warrensburg/Sedalia and moving eastward.  I think there were 5 individual twisters that evening, and the one furthest East was the one that dropped in to visit my place.

Probably the evening I thought all was done and there was one about quarter mile from the house. 

I was just telling my wife seen more Tornadoes here than we ever did in the flat lands.

The weather people and their incessant watches & warnings do more harm than good.   Nobody pays any attention to them because they cry WOLF everytime a cloud passes over. 

The ONE TIME that a tornado actually touched down here, no sirens went off, and no warnings were announced beforehand.   Go figure 🙄

Not that it was needed though. Because about 3 minutes before it hit there was no mistake that all hell was fixin' to break loose.  😳

The NWS and TV uses our equipment. 

Supposed to be if Bad Weather is coming we watch Radar and set Sirens off.

But the Government they decided to save money so they decided we don't need to be watching Radar for hours so they decided to just pay us for one hour.  So we say F it and just work our regular hours. 

They had the bright idea to put us on Satellite for Radar because it is cheaper.  It is cheaper for a reason people.  Soon as a storm hits we are shut down. 

Every time you turn around they are wanting cheaper and you can't explain anything to them. 

Me I've told them many times I'm useless I can't drive or hear but I'm still Safety and Logistics Chief. 

They basically took me off driving because I go to strap down a load they always feel they need to help me.

Various things MREs, Bottled Water and such. 

We watch Radar on Computers if they are down we are down.  We depend on Computers to check our sensors in SW Missouri. 

I have left the house for the office with Tornado and Sirens at our house.  What was funny I knew we would be called in so I left my clothes on.

Couldn't see it from the road but wind did a bunch of damage at our Church. 

Still trying to figure it out damage was on the South side but wind was out of the North.  Unless it blowed up under the roof and came out on the South end.

It's suction, roof damage is almost always on the lee side of the structure. Wind blowing the roof cover against the structure doesn't cause  any lift that would cause it to fly away, but the vacuum/suction created under the wind as it passes over the ridge is all lift. If you study boat sails or airplane wings they all work on the suction not the push. a sail boat is pulled by the wind not pushed by it.
