MOPanfisher Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 That's a thumper of a bluegill. Johnsfolly 1
Johnsfolly Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 Big Bluegill. I wonder how his neighbor feels about that catch. Maybe there are bigger ones in there, especially if they provide supplemental feed.
Gumboot Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Does it look like a coppernose bluegill to you guys? I stocked a bunch in my pond. They readily came to feed and grew up fast.
dblades Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 I caught and released one out of Rock Creek about 30 years ago that weighted just a little more than that, 2.5* on my digital scales. I knew the world record was over 4 pounds, didn't even think about a state record. Thought I had a good smallmouth as hard as it fought, pre cell phone so I don't even have a picture.
