The only thing I see is PWC, must be worn. Isn't this different from Boats? I saw nothing about inflatables must be worn. Although they do you no good as the only go off when water hits them and are a pain to put on when they inflated. Need more info for a argument in a Bass Club. That I am trying to make my point on. All clubs should (and most do) make their own safety rules, and make them even further toward the cautious side than state laws require. *CG Approved PFD's on anytime the outboard is running. *Kill switch attached anytime the outboard is running. *Running lights on during low light, fog or rain. But where ALL CLUBS turn a blind eye, is...... Sufficient liability insurance. Because, if kept strict, that rule would immediately cut their membership by 2/3.

The kill switch law that was put into effect recently has already been beaten by case law. They won't make that public knowledge (and for good reason) but you will NOT be given a citation for failure to comply, and if you are then you can beat it without a lawyer. BUT STILL......WEAR THE BLASTED THING!!!! 😁 It's not long enough to let me walk around the boat

I was in in a cove fishing once and a dude fell out while trying to retrieve a stupid koozy cup. Boat going around in big circles at about 3000RPM. I figured it was every man for himself, so I immediately stowed the TM, threw my rod down, put my boat on plane inside the NoWake area, wished him well.... and shot out of that cove like a rocket. I heard the next day that the operator made it to safety, and the boat ran aground after totaling 3 docks with boats in them.

I never got tossed out but there were a few times it was close.
