Bassin4fun Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Who all is fishing this event? Suggestions on best boat launches and which ones to avoid? I am commuting each day from Springfield.
fishinwrench Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 What area of the lake do you plan to fish? They've already started drawing the lake down.....for some stupid reason. And there's no precipitation in the forecast, so you might wanna enter that data into your decision machine.
Bassin4fun Posted September 27, 2022 Author Posted September 27, 2022 I was looking at launching from Linn Creek. I was just there Saturday. I was told of the lake drops another 2ft...that ramp will not be open. Already super shallow over there. I really wanted to stay near a river or creek arm. I am open. Doesn't really matter too much to me. I haven't really caught any big bass in my two outings there...only 2 keepers so far. But, bite should be better this weekend. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Bassin4fun Posted September 27, 2022 Author Posted September 27, 2022 I did get a dock bite going and there was a shallow bite early AM. But topwater wasn't on either time I was out. Linn Creek and Glaze arm.
fishinwrench Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Larry Gale is the closest ramp to you, and Red oak is the closest weigh-in spot if fishing that area. Sadly the ramps that you'd probably like to avoid are the ones that are closest to where the most big fish will be caught. Obviously there are big fish everywhere, but they are constantly getting transported towards PB#2.....so there's that. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

Bassin4fun Posted October 1, 2022 Author Posted October 1, 2022 Good day of practice yesterday. Hopefully today and tomorrow, I can catch them as good as yesterday. By noon, I had four keepers in the boat....one was over 5LBS. I stopped after that last big bass. I feel like I have a solid pattern going into the weekend. Daryk Campbell Sr and Johnsfolly 2
