"The last day of the season, if the park gets picked clean and isn't stocked"

Catch and release does work.

I'm talking about the last day of the season here. As in, if the last day of the catch and keep season there are no fish left in the stream, then the C&R season will have no fish unless there is a stocking.

If you're familiar with the park, especially in recent years, there isn't a lot of hold over fish from day to day -- especially if the park gets a big crowd. Contrast this with Montauk where there are a lot of hold over fish in the stream and C&R without a stocking would still be pretty fun.

Another successful day at the park. I'm telling you, if they didn't stock then everyone I saw down there are very good fisherman! Within the first hour a LOT of people had already caught upwards of 20 and there was no letting up at all. Every hole, everyone was catching. Saw 2 people that were throwing nothing but white jigs all day long and they were tearing it up! Heck, I would move to different hole and sometimes catch 10-12 out of it before moving on. I think Buzz caught around 115. I stopped counting after 30, but I'm sure I was over 50 before I left at two. I think I fished maybe 5 hours total for that count. Buzz fished longer and I don't think he had the line issues and losing jigs issues I had! lol  Came up on one guy who had already caught 28 in the first hour so who knows how many he ended up with. Didn't seem to matter on the color as well. Olive, ginger, white, black, those were just some of the colors I used throughout the day.  Good times
