MrGiggles Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 Booked one of those big lodges on Indian Point for our Thanksgiving get together, I had to bring the boat. I put in at Indian point marina Tuesday morning and fished some for a couple hours. Struggled to find much life anywhere. It's a very different lake than Stockton or Pomme, way deeper and the submerged forests are pretty interesting. I've never tried to fish a treetop that was 50ft deep. I went back to the lodge and had lunch, went back to fishing solo afterwards. Checked a few different spots and couldn't find much again. I was trying to apply the Stockton walleye pattern without much success. Come to find out the walleye population isn't quite as big here. I didn't have any brush pile waypoints loaded for table rock either. I stumbled into what I guess you would call the auxiliary dam. Marked some fish near the bottom in 45 feet. Dropped a jigging rap down there and hooked up pretty quickly, one spot one smallie. Hooked several others but never boated them. Took another break and went back in the afternoon, the fish were still there but not active. Didn't hook any. Rode around for a little while, checked out the main dam and saw the Belle leaving her dock. Pretty cool. Returned to the aux dam and hooked another spot. They were a little more active but still pretty finicky. I'm not really a bass fisher but it's still fun to catch those healthy fish. The smallie especially was a pretty good one. big c, Daryk Campbell Sr, Carl W and 8 others 11 -Austin
Bill Babler Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 Aux. spillway. Can be really good out front of the bouys, still a little early. Go back in Little Indian Creek. Almost directly across from the launch ramp. It will split with a big cove going right, once your back there a ways. In the main creek right at the split there will be deep fish. I’m guessing right now, 35’ to 55’. Some on the bottom some up on the water column. Good Luck. I was kinda surprised to find fish in there. No bait or anything. But they were there, on the bottom or close to it. Sometimes scattered and occasionally in a small bunch. I'm back home now. Not sure if I'll be back to TR anytime soon. I do want to fish Bull though. Daryk Campbell Sr 1 -Austin
