ollie Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 Mt neighbor deployed some like that a few years back for revenge on someone. They were a lot smaller than the one you have pictured. We were fishing a remote area on Grand and were heading back downstream in our kayaks when he heard a noise of glass breaking. Some young punks had gotten bored and decided to put a large stone through his windshield on the 4runner. We actually saw them get in the car and take off. Being it was a gravel road we got in his 4runner and started to chase them down to get a license plate number. They finally got to a stop sign and he cut them off. After following them back to their house so we could talk with the parents about the cost of a new windshield. The parents then blamed us for following the kids in a high purist chase! You can see this didn't go well. Neighbor had to drive an hour and a half to file police report and then nothing ever happened. He decided to get some justice, so he went back late at night put those in the driveway. I still wouldn't want to step on the smaller ones as well. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

Caesar fought the Gauls at a place called Alesia, the site has been extensively excavated and they found quite a few caltrops the Romans had put out in front of their lines. They were used in the Middle Ages too. Mainly as a defense against cavalry. bfishn and BilletHead 2
