Thinking of going Organic and Heirloom but if I go Hybrid and regular sprays I should get more harvest.

I'm right here close to Mansfield but can get most stuff here in Town at MFA.

Why not try both?  Cover all your bases.

My buddy gets heirloom seeds from Seed Savers in NE Iowa...He loves their products!  We've actually visited their location a couple times, since there's a trout stream with native Brook Trout and self-reproducing population of Brown Trout.

Was thinking two crops of Hybrid but my understanding on Heirloom just not as good on production.

Just like @Terrierman said above. Heirloom tastes way, way better.

So what are your favorite heirloom varieties? Where do you order the seeds?

I'm going to Mansfield to get seed plus going to get some trees at another place.

Seems quality overrides quantity.

Kind of like when I worked at the Bakery. Another bunch took over could put out Bread faster but it tasted like crap. For a long time Roman Meal said they didn't want it

Cherokee Purple, Oxheart, Brandywine and Mortgage Lifter have all been good to me.  I never did them from seeds, get the starts from Baker Creek in Mansfield.  You can get seeds there too if that's your thing.

Didn't know they sold starts this is good.

Last couple years I have started my own.  One year way early.
