To all my kings river guys, I am thinking about running down tomarrow and trying to jerk up some walleye. Possibly a swim bait as well. My question is going to be has anyone put in at Hickory Hallow and ran toward the bridge. I've never been on that part of the lake so I was wondering if there us a ramp at hickory hollow and if a bass boat would put in fine there. Also, I the water too shallow up there or lots of trees? Not looking for any fish advise but just trying to keep the boat safe. Thanks in advance and I'll post some results tomarrow night.

Sorry gentleman, Nothing to report because I decide to head north to Stockton instead and glad I did.  Instead of searching for something in a new area I went to comfort up north since the wind was "supposed" to be less today.  I have a more detail report and that page but just wanted to post here since I said I would.

Targa.  I know this is a week old or so but thought I'd give you some input.  Hickory hollow is fine to launch at.  It costs 3 dollars mainly because it is a private resort.  Only problem with the ramp is the turn around is pretty tight but if you have launched a boat enough times you'll have no issues.  Keep in mind that once you get to the bridge your mapping will likely turn to a base map so you'll have no guide as to where the channel is.  The long straight stretch heading towards the bridge from hickory hollow has a very narrow channel, and a huge mud flat on the west side that is very shallow.  But I have done well on walleye and largemouth just up river from the bridge.  Honestly there is really no need to go any further up river from there.  You will find most of the boats are up river from the bridge and it gets crowded quick!  I've taken more trips on my kayak this year and usually catch them like crazy until the boats show up.  After that they get a little shy.

Thank you very much for the heads up. I still havent been able to make myself bite the bullet and go down there. Each time I think about it I go North to familiar water on Stockton instead. I am the same distance from either place and with limited time I just do better on familiar water. I will force myself to do it someday
