Dutch Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Jeff joined me yesterday. We hit the water at 06:00 and fished up river until noon. We caught bass on top water and wake baits early then jigs, swim baits and worms. I didn’t count keepers cause we didn’t measure any. I think that I may have had 1 or 2. I don’t know about Jeff. Most everywhere the water was 75°. We wound up with 47 bass most of which were spots. I doubt any were deeper than 10’. I know some were as shallow as 3’. Dock-in-it Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Thanks for the report. Have you guys seen any fry in the places you fish? I have not seen any fry during my Kimberling area trips.
Dutch Posted May 26, 2023 Author Posted May 26, 2023 The water is too dingy to see fry. I have seen some 4’ gar and mega carp up the river.
Quillback Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Lots of shad, they are everywhere in that area. They were spawning on the rocks next to the ramp.
