Quillback Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Got out early, in the water at about 0645. Fished the Ned early, but could not get anything going on it, caught one spot. Switched over to jigs and picked up a couple of spots in the back of a cove, but fished a lot of water with only couple of fish. Then wind picked up. Started throwing cranks. Started picking up fish. Again mostly 13-14" spots but got a LM keeper and a keeper wallie. Gravel banks with wind was where I got my cranky fish. Got back to the ramp and released Sir Walter, if I had caught 2 of them, would've kept them. Caught a dozen total. The spots are fat and healthy, great time of the year to catch them when they are in peak shape. WT 46-48. AR Huzgr, grizwilson, MarkG52 and 7 others 10
Dutch Posted February 24 Posted February 24 That sounds like a good cold front morning to me. I thought about cranks but after throwing the Arig I was ready for something light and easy. grizwilson, Quillback and snagged in outlet 3 3
