You get no sympathy from me. 🍽️

I've often wondered how they'd be dehydrated in the smoker. Never had enough leftovers to try it.

I can't dance like I used to.

I bet pretty good. Smoke first for awhile and then into standard dehydrator. Reconstitute for can we say Smoky morel soup 😄. We use dry an ground into a powder mushrooms to add earthyness flavor to dishes.

We have been seeing a few cinnabar chanterelles showing up underneath the chestnut trees. I am thinking that the chanterelle harvest should be really good here this year and start showing up any day now. After two years of drought and no summer fungi we are so ready to get back into the game. Just got a new book. Yea I know lots of information out on the world wide web but I like books and reading. Two chanterelle recipes I'm very interested in trying. Chantrell jam and candied chanterelles. Huh you say? For those of you who don't know chanterelles have a fruity aroma like apricot so we will give it a go. Good luck summer foragers!

Good  luck guys. Always loved chanterelle foraging even more than morels. We've had some great spots all around Columbia and many heavy sacks of chants. A favorite recipe was to make roulade chicken breasts with a chanterelle and apricot stuffing.😁
