BilletHead Posted June 15 Author Posted June 15 We have been seeing a few cinnabar chanterelles showing up underneath the chestnut trees. I am thinking that the chanterelle harvest should be really good here this year and start showing up any day now. After two years of drought and no summer fungi we are so ready to get back into the game. Just got a new book. Yea I know lots of information out on the world wide web but I like books and reading. Two chanterelle recipes I'm very interested in trying. Chantrell jam and candied chanterelles. Huh you say? For those of you who don't know chanterelles have a fruity aroma like apricot so we will give it a go. Good luck summer foragers! ness, Maverickpro201, Johnsfolly and 1 other 4 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Good luck summer foragers! Good luck guys. Always loved chanterelle foraging even more than morels. We've had some great spots all around Columbia and many heavy sacks of chants. A favorite recipe was to make roulade chicken breasts with a chanterelle and apricot stuffing.😁 ness, Daryk Campbell Sr and BilletHead 3
