Members david13 Posted May 12 Members Posted May 12 I live in Prairie Creek so I usually fish around there and from a kayak but decided to make the trip to Indian creek and fish out of my aluminum boat. I was on the water by 7 and left at noon. I caught 9 or 10 bass but should have been more like 15, my hook up to land ratio was really bad, not my best performance. I caught 2 on the drop shot robo worm, morning dawn color and and the rest on a wacky rig senko. Junebug has been my go to color this spring and has been getting a lot of bites. Also momentarily hooked one on a crankbait next to the boat but of course it came off. I fished shallow targeting lay down and rocky banks. Most of the bass I caught were small, the bigger ones are on the pictures. I’ll have to come back try again sometime soon. AR Huzgr, FishnDave, dpitt and 6 others 9
Mitch f Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Drop shots are notorious for losing fish. I wouldn’t worry about your hook up percentage! Great morning! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
