Members Ozarkshillbilly Posted July 17 Members Posted July 17 Went below the dam and banked fished that evening. Just a chance for me and a cousin to get some fishing in for the first time in about 4 years. This is the first time I’ve fished that area in about 20+ years. Got some catfish bait, night crawlers and some cut shad that was given to us. Started slow, but I eventually caught 2 channel catfish back to back on the night crawlers. It slowed way down after the current changed. Caught a single drum after that. Cousin got into something really big that snapped his 17 lb test line. not the best fishing but we had fun, which was the point. Looking forward to trying again next Wednesday with some minnows added to see what we get. nomolites, Quillback, WestCentralFisher and 5 others 8

Even after I've upped to much heavier tackle and 20 pound test, had some fish break my line with an absolute purpose. bfishn 1

Members Ozarkshillbilly Posted July 31 Author Members Posted July 31 Went to Mari-Osa on Wednesday as it is closer to where I live. Nothing. Tried a few different offerings, but no bites, probably too hot. However, that boat launch looked nice for when I finish the boat…

Fish the seam where the clear water of Osage meets dirty water of Missouri. Bounce or cast and jig 1/4 - 3/8 oz Bink's spoons or give some plastic sassy shads a try. You can catch up to 12 lb hybrids doing that. BilletHead, fishinwrench and Johnsfolly 3 Anthony Linhardt
