BilletHead Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Forgive the poor quality video and the commentator. It happened quickly. A flash out the window from the south and the bunny met its demise. nomolites Posted July 21 Posted July 21 I had one snatch a squirrel right below me while bow hunting; never heard or saw the cat until he pounced - pretty impressive display and I’m glad I was on hand for the lesson. Mike BilletHead 1

Mike I agree this display of nature in action is something to behold. Out the window here we have seen this rabbit and a squirrel get taken out by a bobcat. Another time I was what the bobcat stalked. I always squeak on the back side of my hand with my lips when I see a predator while bow hunting. So much fun messing with them. Well one time it was a big bobcat. I was really blending in. Stocking mash covering my face and all that cat was focused on was the palm of my hand moving slightly as I squeaked. I was not very high in the tree either. When he got to a certain point he squatted down like loading his back legs to jump and that is when I started swing my arms like in NOOOOOOOO. I have never seen a critter turn inside out so quickly. Actually, Bobcat is easy to call but very slow coming in. In areas that have lots of cover they can be hard to see. I have called them in on purpose and when fur was worth something and in fashion one was worth 110 bucks. Where coyotes come running in the bobcat are cautious. Two took almost a full 30 minutes to show up. When season opens, I will give this cat a try. She and her kittens will probably be long gone by then. It would be another think if we had chickens or something to protect. Right now, we have coons tearing up bird feeders. This I need to get on top of. nomolites 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" I woke up to two coons in my bedroom last week helping themselves to the cat food. We leave the window open so she can come and go as she pleases. They weren't in any hurry to leave either. Had to go get a mop to chase them out. BilletHead 1
