ness Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM I really miss asparagus. It's the first thing in the spring and fills you with hope of things to come. My little ⅓ acre lot used to produce a lot more stuff. I had asparagus, gooseberries, strawberries, and bigger vegetable garden yields. But, the trees have grown in from all sides. Asparagus bed was taken out about five years ago, the gooseberries got crowded out by our spruce, the one we used to decorate for Christmas 25 years ago but now is taller than the house. Cool that you can forage for asparagus. I've never seen it in the wild. BilletHead, dpitt and Quillback 3 John
Quillback Posted yesterday at 04:52 PM Posted yesterday at 04:52 PM Man, that is a bunch! My garden asparagus has stunk this year, skinny shoots and not many of them. I hope it is not past the peak already.
BilletHead Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago Well she had another big fistful again this afternoon. Frankly I am beginning to get asparagus overload 😂. Look at this pile with mashed potatoes and whole fried crappie. Actually ate too of those fish.
