Members txdave Posted Wednesday at 02:05 PM Members Posted Wednesday at 02:05 PM Does anyone on here run an aluminum ranger boat? If so what has been your impression. Thank you
fishinwrench Posted Wednesday at 07:45 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:45 PM IMO the models I have had experience with were "overbuilt", making service a nightmare. And everyone seems to think that because it's a RANGER that it can easily take a pounding.......but they can't. 🙄 The best built Aluminum bass boats available (once again IMO) are Xpress. They are designed & built to last ! 👍 snagged in outlet 3 and nomolites 2

My kidneys appreciated the change as well. BilletHead 1

Will not be used much in the lakes since I live in Mississippi whatever I wind up with will be chasing speckle trout and redfish. There are many Express center consoles here. snagged in outlet 3 1

My center console was great. When I sold it, I would have bought a Alumacraft or Lund center console if they had sold one.
Members txdave Posted Wednesday at 11:43 PM Author Members Posted Wednesday at 11:43 PM I have always had big fiberglass flats boats in Tx. We wade fished a lot so I could haul 5or 6 guys. anchor the boat an d start the wade. Usually we had another boat so they would run down a ways and start there wade. once someone got to the next boat we go pick the other boat up and go back. So we could hop scotch down the beach and not have to wade back to get the boat. my last boat was a 24 foot tunnel boat with a 250 Evinrude it ran way faster than i needed to go. It ran crazy shallow in the back lakes so you could take short cuts but if you ever came off plane it was a cluster. snagged in outlet 3 1
