I fished this morning and had some nice fish on a underspin with a 3" swimbait. Lately, I fish the first hour in a general spawning area with a underspin then move to the main lake and fish a jerkbait on steep banks with a few cedars and plenty of wind. Extreme wind produces better results for quality LM. I think the jerkbait bite might be over for me. This morning I had 8 shorts on the JB in the same spots that were producing some good LM. The WT jumped to 60-62. There are plenty of fish on beds but I have not seen any quality yet. The first big wave of stagging LM showed up on April 2nd, so after 3 weeks I would guess the spawning activity will be major this week. The water clarity is 12 to 15 ft and the water is not in many bushes. So you will see plenty of deep beds. There are 3 pictures of fish caught this morning on the underspin (6.1#, 4.3#, and another about 3#). The last picture is an example of the type of jerkbait banks that I look for.
