Mitch f Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I just purchased a Senko mold and created my first 2-color patterns. It's kind of an ultra clear water baitfish pattern. Top is green pumpkin and bottom is silver pearl with tiny gold flakes and a couple of drops of blue. The bait is very translucent. I know most like pearl white or green pumpkin for a solid color, but what do you guys recommend for a two color Senko? MOsmallies and J-Doc 2 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
J-Doc Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Nice work!!! Those would be killer on Beaver and Table Rock. Especially with small blue and purple flakes. Mitch f 1 Need marine repair? rps Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I wish I could find a translucent smoke with just a few black flecks like you used to see in the sting ray grub. In clear water like TR and Broken Bow, that color flat works. Of course, what I really want is an Elaztech version for the bait whose name will not be mentioned. Mitch f 1
Old plug Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 It really doesn't matter that much. I have lot of the of grayish white. I have ran out a. few times and was forced to use anything I could find. I have fished some black orange and red, Red, Blue. Brown and several others. i prefer the grayish white. Because of the shad color. but I sure do not have a qualms about. Using anything else. I do not use your standard type hooks either I use regular 0/3 worm hook are some 0/3 plated trot line hooks I have. Mitch f 1
Quillback Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Brown/Purple laminate is a great drop shot color for Cut tail Senkos. Might be worth a shot. Mitch f 1

I could make a 2-color version of your Tom Riddle bait. Minus the Elaztech. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Ham Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 What about a dark smoke with black flake over clear with copper flake? Mitch f 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Members carptracker Posted October 28, 2015 Members Posted October 28, 2015 Mitch look forward to trying some of your senko color combos on the river. Dunn's green pumpkin has been a standard but have always wonder about some blood red "bleed" in the middle of the senko. If it doesn't work the red and green will work well as Christmas decorations. Speaking of Christmas a few more MItch craws are on the top of my list! Mitch f 1
Mitch f Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 These are all excellent suggestions guys "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Al Agnew Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Two tone brown--a medium, chocolate brown on top, lighter yellowish (not orange) brown on bottom. Mitch f 1
