XP 590 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Wow, smart phones sure took blurry pictures back in those days.
fishinwrench Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Has that record not been broken since? I've been told for years (and I think I remember reading it) that the Mo.state record green sunny was caught in Little Gravois creek in the mid '80's by a bass fisherman during a tournament.
MoCarp Posted June 16, 2017 Author Posted June 16, 2017 nope state and WORLD record at that MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Coosa Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 I thought about not posting this in fear of nobdy believing me but screw it. When I was 12 yrs old I caught a fish which my dad and I believed to be a bluegill. An abnormally large bluegill. Dad thought it might be a state record so we took it home and weighed it. I'll never forget seeing those numbers on the scale 2lb 2oz and hearing my dad say, "14oz short." As I got a little older and learned my fish I realized what I caught was a green sunfish not a bluegill. I have always joked with my brother about me being the state record holder. Man, why is everything always just another fish story!! Wish cameras were everywhere then like they are now.
MoCarp Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 many a record has not been reported...... MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Norm M Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 one possible state record smallmouth released due to no harvest season . no regrets it was the right thing to do although I will always wonder MoCarp and Coosa 2 what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends
