Most of those guys are going to have to have the bottom of their boats reglassed as the are fishing unbelievable shallow. Their in the backs of the pockets and behind the docks looking for bedding fish and close up bush and bank runner fish

It  will be interesting. I don’t think you will see our local pros fishing like that. Lots of staging fish in the pole timber and deep cedars. Just right for a Stickbait, underspin and of course this is an A-Rig derby

The fish are really biting. Some of the guys throwing the Rig are catching 20 to 30 keepers a day

I think goal 1 should be to get thru the derby without anyone running over another boat or otherwise mishandling their rig. FLW and particularly the Costa Series has a terrible track record of late.

We intentionally moved our first trip of the spring back a couple of weeks because of those guys.

If you ask me (and I realize nobody did) a guy better keep his head on a swivel while operating in the main channel when they're in town.

Like a bunch of test pilots all trying to win Top Gun.

And heaven forbid if there's early morning fog cause that just bumps the fun meter up a couple notches.

Instrument Flight Rules on water is about as "thrilling" as it gets.

I did not see any of them fishing, just racing around, they would go by and about 20 minutes later they would go by going the other way, guess they where scanning the water at 50 - 60 mph..
