F&F. Have you tried these really deep diving cranks like a 10 xd? If so, how are they doing. Just curious to know before I throw down 15 smacks on one lure. -

Isn't thermocline around 20-25 ft? If so don't i need something that goes to 25ft and be ok?

Gonna try doing some deep cranking this year. Need to know when, where, depth i should target, line size, lures that work in clearer water and rod preference. A lot to cover. I would rather ask here than be fumbling about trying to figure out what the heck i'm doin. Thanks for any input.

Plug. Although I don't like the fact that people put out brush piles for an advantage in a tournament. I have to give it up to them for putting in the time and effort to gain that advantage. That is within the rules and thats fine. I just don't have time to do that stuff.

If you can put in around point 12 and night fish for a few hours there are several docks on the right hand side after you enter War Eagle arm. They have lights shining down into the water and tons of submerged laydowns. They start biting in there as soon as dark hits. -
Jason I had same problem making my own. You can 't find those long weights they use either. I just bite the bullet and pay for the pre made ones. I have some of the tungsten ones and can't tell a bit of difference in feel. The lead ones work just as good.

Didn't mean to stir anything up. Just trying to find a story they were talking about on sports radio today about a nan arrested in Maryland for cheating in a tourney. Tried looking it up and that came up.

I was at Swepco last year. Got there early fired up to fish. But the boat in trolled to the dock. Parked the truck. Came back to go fishing and the boat wouldnt start. Thought my bulb was bad so i loaded boat and ran to nearest WalMart which was Siloam Springs. Bought a new bulb and put in on in a few minutes no problem. Bulb wouldnt pump up. I went to look at the fuel tanks and I had selector on wrong tank. Switched sides and it fired right up. I felt dumb but i do have an extra bulb now:-)
